People - Tom Rose
Tom has worked in the Calgary oil industry since 1984, when after completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Geophysics at the University of Calgary, he was employed by Grant Geophysical as a seismic data processor. In 1986, he joined Kelman Seismic Processing Inc., also as a seismic data processor. This position soon evolved into software support and development. During this time Tom did some stints in Houston, helping to establish Kelman's offices there. In August of 1999 Tom joined Techco. Since that time he's concentrated on further developing the autostatics and surface consistent deconvolution algorithms, as well as writing additional signal processing software and supporting the other Techco algorithms.
Tom is married with three children; two sons and a daughter. When his family and other commitments allow, Tom enjoys playing a good game of hockey, or getting out whitewater kayaking, climbing or skiing anywhere within striking distance of Calgary.
